01.10.2019 | In October, our new European project on energy flexibility "Platone - Platform for operation of distribution networks" started. With the kick-off meeting in Brussels we paved the ground for our four-year working process.

Brussels, Belgium

Over 30 representatives of our 12 project partners from the European countries Germany, Greece, Italy and Belgium came together for the first time. With our project kick-off we sealed the official start of our project Platone. Platone works under the topic "Flexibility and retail market options for the distribution grid” within the Horizon 2020 Work Programme "Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy”. The main topics of our two-day meeting on 30th of September to 1st of October were to get to know each other, agree on our common understanding of all project aspects, co-create first elements of a project identity and get an insight in every work package. Achim Woyte, Project Manager at the European Commission's Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) joined the meeting and represented the point of view of the Commission.

The next project meeting will take place from 21st to 22nd of January in Rome as first General Assembly, hosted by the partner ACEA Energia.
